Material Specifications

A.  Countertop High Pressure Laminate:

Shall meet or exceed NEMA standards for horizontal countertop grade or post forming grade of laminate.  Colors and surface texture selected from NEVAMAR'S standard selection.  Other brands available.

B.  Vertical Grade High Pressure Laminate:

Shall meet or exceed NEMA standards for vertical grade.  Colors and surface texture selected from WILSONART's standard selection.  Other brands available.

Wood-faced casework includes the following:  lumber;  plain sliced red oak and plywood;  plain sliced red oak veneers.  (other lumber and plywood species and cuts may be specified.)

C.  High Pressure Laminate Cabinet Liner:

Shall meet or exceed NEMA standards for cabinet liners.  White color is standard, others are available.  

D.  Thermo fused Melamine:

Surfaces shall meet or exceed NEMA standards for cabinet liners.  Thermo fused melamine panel comprised of a resin-impregnated sheet thermally fused to industrial grade particleboard substrate.  White color is standard, others are available.

E.  Pre-Finished Particleboard:

Industrial grade particleboard with a filled, back stained, and catalyzed topcoat finish.  White color.

F.  Particleboard:

Industrial Grade Particleboard with a minimum density of forty-five pounds per cubic foot and a moisture content not to exceed 8 percent.

G.  Edging:

High Pressure laminate (or .020 PVC in available) to match face, on cabinet body, door, and drawer fronts.  3 mm PVC available in limited colors.  .020 PVC for shelves behind opaque doors and top edges of drawer "box" components.

Wood-faced Casework uses red oak veneer edges on exposed cabinet body, door, and drawer fronts and PVC for shelves behind opaque doors and top edges of drawer "box" components.  Optional cabinet body edging:  1/8", 1/4", or 3/4" thick red oak.

H.  Glass:

Thickness and type as specified.

Furniture steel fabricated by welding --degreased, cleaned, and primed.
