Specifications
A. General Conditions: Provisions
set forth by General Conditions and Requirements apply to this
section and forma part of the contract documents. B.
Scope of Work: Provide
all casework and accessory items as specified herein. Refer to
plans and specific details and requirements. Include all
countertops, backsplashes, filler panels, and scribe pieces as
necessary for a complete installation. C.
Work Not Included: Rubber,
vinyl, or other special base. Mechanical Items: Piping,
fitting, and ducts. Electrical Items: Wiring, outlets,
and fixtures. Plumbing Items: Piping, fixtures, and
sinks. In our wood-faced casework, finishing and back priming are not included. D.
Submittals: Submit
shop drawings for approval in the form of one reproducible sepia and
one print. Show materials, dimensions, sink locations,
fittings, and other accessories. Show relation of material
furnished under this section with connecting or related work of
other suppliers and trades. Samples
of WILSONART colors shall be submitted upon award of contract, if
requested, for selection and coordination with other
suppliers. Other brands available. Architect may request
catalog cuts as required for accessory and special items. E.
Job Dimensions: Verify
dimensions of cabinet locations in buildings prior to
fabrication. Fabricate countertops for scribe fit. F.
Product Handling: Casework
shall not be delivered until installation and storage areas are
sufficiently dry, and casework will not be exposed to excessive
changes in temperature or humidity. Concrete work, masonry,
plaster, grinding, or other operations which could damage, soil, or
deteriorate casework, must be completed in storage and installation
areas. Casework shall be properly protected and shall not be
used as workbench areas, support props, ladders, or other
misuse. The casework manufacturer shall not be held
responsible for damage resulting from such abuse. Disclosure:
If NWI is specified with other manufacturers, NWI reserves the right
to limit color selection, revise materials, and revise construction
as per competitors' specifications. With
respect to our continuing program of developing quality casework
systems and techniques, NWI reserves the right to change
specifications without notice. |
